Summer Is Over

*sigh* Summer band starts tomorrow. I'm all ready. I pulled out my gigantic water bottle. Or watter cannister since it is huge and cannister-like. I am kinda excited but about 9:30 tomorrow morning I'll be like... why??? I met a dude at the theater when I saw transformers. He is in the Owasso drumline. He said they don't even have their show music yet, or well the band doesnt the drumline does though. I like him. I told him goodluck and he smiled and said thanks you too. When he asked where I was from and I said Collinsville he grinned real big and said sweet. I think I might go to the movies more often now... haha.

Hmm... So I'm making a CD of 'summer band' songs. I'm trying to get past Mr. Jackson, but of course some of his music is on there. What kind of fickle would I be if I just dropped him like that? lol. But I've been checking out Itunes top 100 and I just obviously don't care much for the music thats popular.

So far it looks like this....

I think I have Insomnia. I even wikipedia'd Insomnia and yeah. I have the symptom. Or at least I think I do. Where I can't fall asleep. Once I am asleep however, I sleep. All I have to say to that is no dice.

Also, people who sleep 6 hours or under have high mortality rates, and people who sleep 8 hours or more have high mortality rates. If your a 7 hour sleeper though, you have a low mortality rate. And here I thought 7 was a lucky number....

I have a funny link. That is sure to produce a gigglesnort for somebody. It literally makes me wanna rofl.

I'm watching season 8 of Friends. It is really making me laugh.

Tuesday Ten!

1. I'm watching the True Hollywood Story of Rock Star's wives. It's interesting and kinda sweet. I mean here's an interview with Alice Cooper all painted up and stuff talking about how he had to run to the store at midnight to get his wife some Honey Buns. It makes me smile.

2. I'm goin' to Logans tonight! Which will be yummy and tasty and will definitely agree with me.

3. I need a new phone. I want to be able to accept pictures and have pretty ringtones and be able to use twitter. :( And yeah. I know I'm selfish because there are people in the world who don't even have phones and there is more to the bigger picture than me getting a pretty new phone, but still... It'd be nice.

4. So I've been pilfering through the princeton review website. I'm such a mess about what I want to do when I grow up. I have no real idea what I wanna do when I get older. I just know I want to matter.

5. I'm not much of a tattoo fan. All these rock stars have tons of these. I just shake my head. It's not very attractive at all.

6. Why are my friends busy? Or more importantly, why don't I have anything to do outside of spending time with my friends? I tell you, I need new friends. Really badly. I honestly need to become a bit more social. I'm sure ya'll can agree. Epecially if it's four in the afternoon on a summer tuesday and I'm at home making a blog post instead of spending time with other people.

7. I have nothing to say. I have realized. But I did find a new website that albeit a bit racy is quite honestly hillarious.

8. I'm trying really really hard to not say something about Michael Jackson.... crap.

9. I'm considering changing the title to Tuesday nine.... What do you think? Oh but I'm so close to making it to the ten mark!!!

1. I've dedicated my day to learning some of MJ's moves. I have fallen to a level where even my cat is mocking me. ;)

2. It's hot. Even the pool water is practically boiling. This ails me.

4. I cannot for the life of me find anything worthy enough to watch on TV.

5. I think I'm going to go get food. Maybe add a new review to my book blog, I am sorely abandoning it.

Ramblin

I've decided to do a solo for WinterGuard this year. I've even picked out the song I'm really excited and hope I'll do good. Now I won't perform until like next March but it's good to get a headstart right?

Found a cool quote the other day. "Don't cry because it's over, Smile because it happened." It's by Dr.Suess isn't it cool? I put it on a sticky note on my bathroom mirror. I've decided I'm going to gather quotes and make a sticky collage. My only problem? I only have Yellow Stickies!! I need color in my life doncha think?

So Cassie and Katie are leaving me next week. My other gal pal is still staying which is good. Hope she can fit me in around her other stuff. ;)

Michael Jackson

That little girls emotion is so... gut-wrenching. I cannot watch the video without tearing up. I feel so bad for her. The 'so-much' at the end is what does it I think...

So Um, honestly I didn't listen to much Michael Jackson music. I did have one of his songs though, that I absolutely loved. And even before his death would get inspired by. Maybe he was just a misunderstood person in the spotlight, or maybe he was a horrid person. But I do believe that he was one of those special people in the world. And he did make an impact on millions of people.

It's sad that someone like that, with so much creative passion, has died. Really though it's our loss, because we're never going to get anything more. And he probably could have given us much much more.

My favorite Michael Jackson song is called Will You Be There. Jennifer Hudson sang her own version of it at his memorial ceremony. There is a lyric from it, that stands out to me everytime I hear it. Many times when I'm upset or left out or just plain depressed I'll listen to it, and it would make me feel better.

:)! So you know it totally doesn't get dark here. Our firework display was at midnight because you know, technically that makes it the fourth anyway and it was semi-dark. We drove around trying to find a spot. The docks were off-limits already so mostly we drove around until finally settling in at the Russian Fur museum. Haha I know right?

I love that feeling, patriotism is what I suppose you'd call it but at the moment your watching fireworks you just get that swell of emotion you know? To me it's an in the moment thing, a 'I can't believe I'm here' moment. I frequently sit down and think like that. The whole abstract I'm actually here and this is actually happening. I love moments like that.
